OFF THE VØID
It started as an industrial noise-pop band from the basements of Berlin by the Japanese-Finish-Luxemburgish-Hungarian dark groovy improv quartet. The main input of the performances were the songs Andyvazul composed with his DIY instrument, the Disharmonika. The lyrics of most songs are poems written by Hungarian poet, János Pilinszky that are sang by vazul echoing some Nick Cave, Jim Morrison or Bauhaus moods. Since the words and the vocal parts were getting more and more emphasis and became a focal element of the performances, in 2023 the band was joined by three experimental singers creating multiple vocal phrases. Since then the OFF THE VØID ensemble invite the audience to participate in a ritualistic, "end of the world" séance as part of their show.
